My Dive Computer displays PC and countdown but will not upload dives, what is happening?

Make sure the cable is connected correctly to the Dive Computer, with the chevrons (>>>) facing the same direction as the Dive Computers display. If it is not disconnect the cable from the DC and wait 10 seconds. Reconnect the cable and try again.

My family and I are avid divers. Does DiveLog provide a "multiuser option" so we each can save dive logs from our respective dive computers but under separate diver names?

Yes, as long as the computer you and your family dives with is supported by our software. Once in Diverlog you have the option to create as many logs as you like by selecting “Create New Log”. This way each person in your family can have and maintain their own log.

I cannot figure out how to add a dive location using Google maps. It only allows me to put in a GPS coordinate, however the ad shows that you can Google map the dive sites.

Users may choose a GPS location using Google maps. When the User clicks on the map, a pin will drop on the location. The pin will also drop on the map by selecting the "View Map" button. When the pin appears, the user will be able to can drag and drop the pin to the location.

I plug in my Oceanic VT4 using the USB cable (Version 3) and follow the instructions to upload my dives. When I select start, the Dive computer will count down, but then the progress will time out.

There are couple of things that can cause the upload to time out. This can happen if the battery is really low or the USB cord is connected to the Dive Computer upside down. Try to make sure that Dive computer's battery is not running out of life. Be sure to also make sure that the USB is connected to the Dive Computer correctly, with the three little arrows facing the user.

Of course! You have the option to manually enter your dives. This can be done by selecting Add/Download New Dives. Instead of selecting the dive computer select Manual Entry Dive. Since the dive was created manually the Dive Details section will not display any information but the rest of the Dive Log is open for use.

I want to search for a dive I took last summer, how do I do that?

Diverlog has a powerful dive history and query feature.

To access the Query, select Dive Data from the menu on the left and click on Queries. A variety of ways to search through your log will display. Just select an item or however many apply to the dive you are searching for and select Run Query. A list of the results will display at the bottom, and you can double click on anyone of them to instantly view the Dive info.

If you're just interested in the finding what dive was the longest, deepest, coldest, etc. use the History. By selecting “History” from “Dive Data” you have instant access to the most extreme dives in your log!

How do I know what my Dive Computer settings were for the last dive?

The settings for each dive made are saved by the Dive Computer. To view them select "Dive" under "Dive Log" and to the right there is a tab labeled User Defined Set Points. Once the tab is selected all the settings available on your Dive computer and there set points for the dive will display.

Diverlog has feature specifically for that. In the "Personal" menu under "Configuration" there is the tab labeled Certification List. In this area you can add or remove as many certifications as you want. An added bonus is you can add an image of your card to each one!

I want to enter a dive manually, unfortunately I can't because Diverlog ask me to choose my dive computer. Is it really possible to enter dive if I don't have a dive computer?

Diverlog does require the user to unlock a DC first before adding a dive. When the user adds a dive, they will need to select the DC model before preceding to adding a dive.

Follow the instructions and when the dive computer settings display again, the current settings will be selected.

Always remember to recheck your PDC settings during your Pre-dive safety check

Your Dive Photos

How do I add pictures to my Gallery?

First, there must be an existing dive upload or entry created. In “Dive” located under “Dive Log” there is a tab labeled “Photo Album”. Select the “Photo Album” tab and click on the (+) icon. Then find and Open the desired picture file. Once a Photo is added to the Dive Log it can then be viewed in the “Gallery”.

Where else can I add Photos?

When you right-click on the Dive Graph two options display, Add Bookmark and Add Photo. Click Add Photo and Open the desired picture file. This allows you to place the picture where the image was taken during the dive!

Can I add the same photo to my album twice?

No. The same photo cannot be added to a Logs' Photo Album more than once. If you want to add the same photo multiple times, you have to create a duplicate of the photo itself. Once the duplicate file is made then it can be added.

Can I share my photos with my friends on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ ?

What modern app can't!? You can do this from 2 different areas in the software, the Dive Album or the Gallery. The Dive Album only sees photos attached to a certain dive in your log, where the Gallery is a compilation of every photo from every dive. In both these areas there are Social Network icons. To share a photo just click an icon, login, and allow the app permission. Simple as that!

Backup/Import/Export

What kind of files can I import into my log and what is the difference between them?

You have two options, the DANS DL7 (*.zxu) or a Dive Log File (*.dlg). When the DANS DL7 is imported only a single dive is added to your log. The Dive Log Files import every dive contained in that files log. Currently you can only import *.dlg files from Mac Diverlogs. If you are only looking to add a single dive from another dive log file it would be best to export that dive in DL7 format and then import it to your log.

How do I Export a dive in DL7 format?

That’s simple! Just click on the Export Dive Data icon and a dive list will display. Under File Format Options select "DL7 Standard", then check the box of the dive you wish to select and hit "Export". The exported file is then automatically saved to the export folder in Documents/PELAGIC/Export/ZXU.

When I Export or Import dives are the photos attached?

No, photos are not transferred when dives are imported or exported. Photos remain only in the log they were originally added to.

Can I import my dive data from my PC software?

The answer is yes! Diverlog can import DL7 files from windows programs if the file was exported correctly into DL7 format
